Simple Remedies For Blackheads
By Jeff Ray
Blackheads can pop up unexpectedly at any time, any place and especially at inappropriate times like when you have a date with your sweetheart. And the reasons for breaking out with blackheads can vary, from internal bodily systems issues, to hormonal issues to external bacterial and dirt issues, etc. But good news, regardless of how the blemishes came about, there are plenty of remedies for blackheads.
Popular Remedies
Some of the more popular treatments and preventative measures to conquer blackheads include prescription aids: antibiotics and oral contraceptives. Antibiotics help get rid of invading bacteria that can result in blackheads. They also target treating inflammation in pimpled regions. And oral contraceptives help kick your hormones back into balance which helps control blackhead outbreaks.
A couple of other prescription remedies are Adapalene and Tretinoin. Adapalene gel helps keep your pores cleared, but can also have side effects: irritation with dryness, itching, inflammation, dizziness and upset stomach. Use caution, too, as Adapalene is known to decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills.
Tretinoin is packaged in form of a lotion, gel or cream, and mainly allows your pores to decongest. It also could cause irritation; however users of these products say the results were worth it for a few days. This treatment is for short term, though, so act accordingly.

Daily Routine
Don’t forget the old fashioned soap and hot water routine twice a day, either. Gently wash your acne-prone areas, rinse well and pat dry. Don’t apply powerful scrubbing that can irritate the skin.
