Fight Acne With A Variety Of Approaches
By Natalie Sinan
One of the most common myths about acne is the belief that the condition is caused solely by poor hygiene. While it is true that cleanliness can help keep your skin fresh and clear, other factors play a huge role in the development of acne. Hormonal imbalance, puberty, situational stress; all of these things can cause acne flare-ups.
So, if acne is caused by a variety of different environmental factors, it only makes sense to treat it with a variety of different approaches.
I suffered from fairly severe acne during my teenage years and into my early adulthood. I tried an endless number of prescription topical treatments and pills, but it wasn’t until I used a non-prescription acne system that combined topical creams and pills that my acne finally cleared up for good.
I know now that when I used either a topical cream or pills separately, I was only taking care of half the problem. When I used both medications together in a complete system, however, my acne didn’t stand a chance. The cream would work to cleanse my pores, clear out dirt, and take care of existing pimples. The pills would fight the acne from the inside out, slowing down oil production and making sure my out-of-whack hormonal levels were back at their normal levels.
Essentially, the topical treatment ensured that the zits already present would clear up, and the pills worked to ensure that there wouldn’t be any future breakouts to worry about.
Now, I don’t mean for you to go out mixing and matching prescription medication. That’s a disaster waiting to happen. Dermatologists purposely avoid writing up a prescription for a cocktail of acne medications because quite a few of them simply aren’t compatible with each other. The side effects of mixing and matching, especially when you’re talking about heavy-duty acne drugs such as Accutane, can be quite dangerous.
If you want to try using a combination of topical creams and pills to cure your acne, I suggest going for a complete system where the creams and pills have been specifically tested together. That way, you’re assured that the medications are completely compatible with each other, and you won’t suffer any adverse side effects during use as a result of improper combinations. Safety should be paramount when taking any medication.
At the same time, you’re also assured that the topical and the pills have been developed to work together to give you the most potent acne-fighting system possible. Using an acne system is the best chance to cure your acne once and for all.
I suffered from acne for years, but when I found a medication that worked, my entire life changed for the better. There’s no reason that the same can’t happen for you.
